The constitution
Peanut Butter & Jelly Land is governed by a short constitution. This is the whole of it, in plain language.
Article 1. The land
Peanut Butter & Jelly Land is made of three regions: Crustshire, Grape Valley, and Smooth Plains. Anyone who lives here is a resident. Residency is never checked at a serving window.
Article 2. Bread
Every resident is entitled to eat. The government keeps serving windows open every day, from 11:00 to 20:00, and pays every resident a basic income on the 1st of each month.
Article 3. Records
The government keeps the records people ask it to keep (marriages, flights, births) and no others. A record belongs to the people named in it.
Article 4. Courts
Courts are independent of the ministries, sit in every region, and issue their decisions in plain language on the day of the hearing.
Article 5. Money
Public money is counted and paid in Monero. Every fee is a fixed amount of XMR, and every resident's income arrives as XMR. The Treasury publishes what it spends, in aggregate, and never what any one resident receives.
