How it works
Filing takes about 15 minutes. Hearings are held in all three regional courts and by video.
- Enter the marriage certificate reference (format MC-000000).
- Say whether the filing is joint or by one partner.
- Pick a hearing slot: the earliest is usually within 30 days.
- Attend the hearing in person or by video. The decree is issued the same day.
Video hearings available in all regions
From 1 September 2026 you can attend any hearing by video. Choose the option when you book.Fees
- Filing: 0.06 XMR, split between partners when the filing is joint.
- Rescheduling a hearing: free the first time, 0.015 XMR after that.
- Fee waivers are available to residents receiving only UBI.
- Pay in XMR from any Monero wallet when you file.
Rules
- Either partner can file; the other is notified through their PBJ.land account within 1 day.
- Hearings are short. Bring agreement on children and property if you have one; if not, the court sets a second date.
- The decree takes effect 14 days after the hearing.
Questions
Do we both have to attend?
Yes, in person or by video. If one partner does not attend, the court sets a new date once before ruling in their absence.
How do I track my case?
Sign in to the courts portal. Every filing, notice, and hearing date appears on the case page, and we email you when something changes.
Can we change our minds?
Either partner can withdraw a joint filing any time before the hearing. The filing fee is not refunded.
